St. John Paul II described the Christian Sunday as “wholly other! Springing from the Resurrection, it cuts through human time – the months, the years, the centuries – like a directional arrow which points them toward their target: Christ’s second coming” (Dies Domini, 75). How does Sunday lead us deeper into a relationship with Jesus Christ? And on a greater scale, in a world where countless other cycles and schedules vie for control of our lives (work schedules, school schedules, and the cycles of nature and holidays), how does the larger Church schedule and cycle of feasts and seasons govern our time, and lead us further into the Paschal Mystery? Come join us, and explore how the Church Year should (and can) be “One Great Sunday,” giving us countless opportunities to experience God breaking into our world, our life experiences, and our journeys of faith.
